The Forensic Science Service

The Forensic Science Service (FSS) decided to migrate to a wholly electronic procurement system based on SAP.  The training team were given a window of 2-3 weeks to install, create and deliver a training programme for staff in all nine FSS locations around the country.

The training team had to consider several key factors when selecting the right product for the training development.

  • They were given a complex task to be completed within a short timeline.
  • The training was expected to be of a high quality, computer based, and developed by non-technologist.

The training team decided to use OnDemand Personal Navigator to create materials to train the users on their SAP system and processes. OnDemand provides an efficient method for documenting the use of any software application. 

Using OnDemand, the training team of 3 rolled out the training to all nine locations in one release. This included knowledge assessment, and access to the system was only granted to users who passed the assessment.
